The first

Griffin Single vineyard

Griffin single vineyard is a harmonious and rounded combination of full-bodied Chardonnay and fresh and fruity Muller-Thurgau from the highest vineyard in the Plešivica region, 400m above sea level. The position is ultimately facing south exposure and is often the only one in Plešivica above the fog level, with the highest number of sunny hours in the region. It’s easily drinkable and gastronomically versatile; friends of the winery often call it “the milk.”

Apple, apricot, peach, lemon

Vinification:

The grapes are picked by hand into crates and refrigerated at 1⁰C. After cooling, grapes are sent for light destalking and remain on the skins for two days on cryomaceration. After soft pressing, the decanted must is racked and fermented at 15⁰C in inox. The wine remains in stainless steel tanks on maturation for 12 months, with bâtonnage carried out every ten days.

This wine is composed of the Chardonnay’s full-bodied freshness and the Muller-Thurgau variety’s fruitiness. The location of these vineyards allows a southern exposure above the fog line and allows a maximum of sunshine hours, which requires a special care for a single vineyard label.

The vineyard was planted as a challenge to the winemaker to produce a versatile and complex Sauvignon that will satisfy even the most critical lovers of this variety. With its herbal character, harmonious minerality, a touch of sparkling freshness, and the smell of elderflower, this wine is pure nature in your glass.

Vinification:

The vineyard was planted as a challenge to the winemaker to produce a versatile and complex Sauvignon that will satisfy even the most critical lovers of this variety. With its herbal character, harmonious minerality, a touch of sparkling freshness, and the smell of elderflower, this wine is pure nature in your glass.

Sauvignon from the highest vineyard on Plešivica. 400 +m above sea level. Fermented and aged for six months on its lees, giving it an entire body and a complete character. Dry and fresh, full of floral and fruity aromas and vegetative and herbal character, together with the harmonious minerality, addresses the wine audience who expect diversity and complexity from this variety.

The Griffin family’s newest member, a fresh, fruity, and completely dry rosé, was created with reflection on hot summer days on the Adriatic coast.

Strawberry, citrus, exotic fruits

Vinification:

The grapes are picked by hand into crates and refrigerated at 1⁰C in the cooling chamber. After cooling, whole grapes (without destalking)are softly pressed, and free flow must is racked and fermented at 16⁰C in stainless steel tank. The wine remains inox on maturation for six months with bâtonnage carried out every 5-7 days.

The prestigious wine with which we introduce ourselves to new and modern generations has also received an exclusive and modern bottle and appearance,which has made it an ambassador for a new audience of a somewhat forgotten and neglected Portugiser variety.
